包包樹又名「猴麵包樹」或「生命樹」，能有數千年的壽命，象徵著非洲草原的生命力。其樹幹奇粗，樹冠巨大，果實大如足球，甘甜多汁，是猴子、猩猩、大象等最喜歡的食物。包包果成熟時，猴子就成群結隊爬上樹上摘果子吃，樹名是這樣來的。包包果肉能在樹上曬乾，無需在摘下來後烘乾或凍乾，只需除去種籽便可食用，它的味道酸甜獨特，有說像梨和西柚混合了焦糖和雲呢拿。包包果富含維他命 C、鐵質、抗氧化物質以及水溶性纖維，是新興超級食物 (superfood)。維他命C與鐵質有助保護細胞正常新陳代謝、增強體力、維持紅血球及血紅素正常生長，整體提升身心健康。

The Baobab tree, also known as the "monkey-bread-tree" and the "tree of life", can grow to several thousand years old and is a symbol of life on the African plains.  It is extremely tall with a huge trunk and wide crown.  Its fruits are large, juicy and delicious, and are a favourite amongst monkeys, apes and elephants. Baobab fruit can dry naturally on the tree before picking, so that there is no need to dehydrate or freeze dry before grinding into powder.  It has a citric, tangy flavour and is a superfood rich in vitamin C, iron, antioxidants and water-soluble fibre. Vitamin C and iron help to maintain normal cell metabolism and energy production, boost formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, and contribute to optimal functioning of the brain and nervous system.
